Did any of them work for you?

They all made me tired, but none of them actually put me to sleep.

I've used valerian and melatonin. Both worked for awhile, but eventually stopped. Then I used little blue pills--but infrequently and only half of one. Last time I used one, all it did was make me very very dizzy--but did not put me to sleep.

I don't know what I'm going to do now as nothing works--even tried flavoured vodka--and while, it's nice, it still doesn't help me sleep.

Good luck with your search--and, if you find anything that works, please post.

natural sleeping (-tablets) for me is life without ill will for others. gives me 8 hours of peaceful sleep, may be 9 at times. there are times when an event keeps my mind active and hence difficulty falling asleep.

the rescue then, are the chakra points as below. either try concentrate on the top two, or cycle through all of them. top to bottom along the front of the spine and bottom to top along the back of the spine.

no harm anyone trying it out, i suppose.

It is interesting my new GP is totally against sleeping tablets. I have used zopiclone on and off for many years to get me through some tough times but I fear she is not let me have them in future and advised me to try natural tablets. I have done in the past but lots have anti histamine in them which causes,in me at least, urinary retention. So I am going to try to find one which helps without side effects.

I use mindful breathing - various methods , in 4 out 4, in 8 out 8, in 4 hold 4 out 8 etc etc whatever is comfortable. Added benefit lowers blood pressure over time and can activate the vagus nerve.

Hi Lanzarote smile.png

I recently took lavender capsules when I was very stressed and they certainly made me feel relaxed. The brand I bought is Health4All. They only contain lavender flower powder, no fillers, binders or colours. I bought them on Amazon, can't remember the price but they weren't expensive.

I've heard that hops can help with sleep but I haven't tried this.

Obviously you would need to speak to your gp first, especially if you take medication. Ask your gp about nytol, you can buy it in chemists.

In Sandra's name we must follow the rules of lockdown and social distancing to get through this nightmare.

Drink Chamomile tea through the day, and it will relax you so that you will sleep that night.

Chamomile tea bags are readily available at most supermarkets. Chamomile tea does not go against any medication, is not habit forming and you cannot overdose on it.

2 Chamomile tea bags in half pint boiling water, cover with a saucer and steep for 5 minutes, squeeze the bags, and add sugar to taste. No milk. It tastes foul, but you will get used to the taste, and it works!
