i nervously tried a sleeping aid once.
then decided it was not for me.

i *may need to be alerted when i am asleep ?? and if medicated.. i am not sure that i could trust waking up,
.. or maybe to groggy from meds for common sense reactions ?? in the event of an unsuspected emergency.
so opted against and just have an unmedicated as needed nap during the day.

Be careful taking ‘natural’ sleeping medications if you have high blood pressure or heart problems. I am sure Pats will agree with me. Tempting as it is to try herbal and other remedies when having sleep problems please be careful.

It’s okay not to be okay.

Yes I agree with what you say Aida, even ‘natural’ products can have contraindications with any medications you may already be taking.
And what suits one person doesn’t necessarily suit another.

You should always check with your Doctor before taking any form of ‘natural’ medication or supplement.

At the recommendation of my physician, I have tried Valerian, Melatonin and Tryptophan. I would check with yours to see which, if any, is recommended based on your particular situation.

No pills. Hot chocolate made with semi skimmed milk & a small tot of brandy or jack daniels.

I’m trying to use it up. Wouldn’t have it with a mixer but it’s ok in hot choc.

I do not take sleeping tablets of any kind. I drink Camomile tea, and it makes me relax and sleep.
It is not habit forming, does not go against any prescribed medication, you cannot overdose on it, and although at first it tastes horrid, you get used to the taste. 2 camomile tea bags in half pint boiling water, let it steep, covered with a saucer for 5 minutes, squeeze the bags, and add sugar to taste. No milk. It has seen me through some horid health issues. It works!
