If you would like to suggest a place to meet then please feel free to Click Here to start a new topic
Meets can be for lunch, a coffee or even over a few days
It is up to you to make the suggestions and see if others want to join in.
Once a meet has a time, date and place then ask Mike to make it a 'Sticky' so that it becomes yellow with a pin and stays on top
I can also put it on The Map if you like.

I really enjoyed my first meet at the Swan Hotel organised by Fleur-Rose last week. One of the things we chatted about was organising more meets, but that we did not know who or how many people were interested or where there are.

So in this thread if you are interested in group meets with other Buzzers can you say vaguely where we are ie Large Town or county, and if you would be prepared to travel and how far and anything else you think could be useful.

I am based near Stevenage in North Hertfordshire during winter months. During the Spring, Summer and Autumn I'm on my narrowboat and would be found on one of the UK Inland Waterways.

I can drive and would be happy to travel for about an hour each way or I would be happy to use public transport if I don't have a car available.

I can be available any day of the week as I have no set commitments.

I have been to several Buzz meets before and always enjoyed them, met some lovely people.

Unfortunately living in Suffolk means I have had to travel quite a distance to attend them, but found it really worthwhile.

Hopefully we can get like minded people together and we can find a suitable location for different groups. But to do this we need people to actively engage. Plese let us know if you are interested and where you are.

Maybe 2023 is the year to revive buzz meets, in years gone by there were meets almost every week around the country, and particularly in the north west. I'm up for it if there are interested people in or around 20 miles of Preston Lancs, or within 20 miles easy drive of Chorley

I can understand that there are many reasons for people not being able to travel too far from where they live, but not really a problem for me while I can still drive. So with enough planning, I could easily make it up to Preston later this year. I am planning another trip up to Yorkshire at some point, so not a problem to drive across to Lancashire at the some time .

Most Meets are in Chester, where there is a very active group.

When this thread was started I had hoped that people would say where they are and how far they could or would be prepared to travel, so we could organise people to get together. However, that does not seem to have happened.

As I live part of the year on a narrowboat and travel around the country, I would love to meet like minded Buzzers from around the UK. I'm currently in Hertfordshire, but next week I'll be in Warwickshire and heading down towards Oxfordshire. Specifically to Banbury sometime after Easter.

It's been a while since I've been to Blackpool, but from what I can remember, I did enjoy my visit .

<<< Thoroughly Recommends Meets.
A welcoming, common interest, friendly experience. With many pleasurable surprises.
All 5 senses, eyeball to eyeball, with those, casually IT chatted with.
Travel a doddle, when managing a nationwide property portfolio. The Britannia Hotel Manchester, a catchment epicentre.
Best wishes in there Renaissance.
