The Idea around Games and activities / Events in the Function Room is to bring a group of people together at the same time to share the experience.

May i also suggest you go into other rooms that are occupied on buzz and ask those there if anyone is interested first ....
other wise you could be wasting your time as there seem little interest on this thread ,

I've tried that Ruetends, But I was hoping that some of the people that use the forum would also be interested.

The idea that seems to have the most takes is a quiz and I am working on trying to put that together at the moment. But finding quiz questions that cover our international membership is proving tricky. UK PUB quiz's tend to have reference to popular UK TV.

I really want to do something that brings people together to chat in the room while the activity is on going !

You'll find lots of universal questions for quizes on line Lucky .... take a look see at these ,I'll send a link in PM ... all you need is simular sites , ... all the best .....

General Knowledge quizzes have successful been compiled & run, by one very capable lady [Unable to recall her name or if she is still a member]
Thoroughly enjoyed and regularly participated in weekly, by circa 20.
Unfortunately dying a death. When the "Ask" apps emerged and developed.
Evolving into farcical. Only as good as the speed of an individual's computer providing the answers.

Yes good point Quin , I think if they ask the questions one by one in the Function room ,and give it a minute, and the first to answer would get the point , otherwise you would find people googling to find the answer ... if there is no answers in the allotted time then there is no point given ... well that's the only way i can think they could do it ....
Other than that have a chess league and meet in the function room after each game to decide who plays who next ... yep could be a knock out .... I think all interested folk should discuss all this before it starts , it is difficult i know ...

I took part in the Thursday night quiz in the chat room couple of years back - only a few times, as soon as the question was posted people were answering very quickly....i think it was all multiple choice as far as i remember.

You wouldn't have a chance to google the answer - if you did try to google the answer you would be left behind. (No I ddn't try before you ask!)..
