My good friend and ex colleague has dementia which is rapidly getting worse. He has moved into the phase where he is angry with everyone and accuses friends and acquaintances of trying to harm him or steal from him. A mutual friend had given him a gift of a box of chocolates and he expressed his fear that the sweets had been injected with poison. He has no relatives in this country; fortunately he lives in an extra care facility. It is very sad.

‘ Freedom from’ without ‘freedom to’ is not freedom at all.

I have been getting the odd dememtia now - little things like forgetting a name - just before a type it.
Last night I emailed my daughter - about a firm that does the cleaning of ears - I racked my brain.
no it would not come, so I put down the firm that does glasses - I remembered it - 2 hours later.
That`s one instance. The odd forgetting WHERE I put something - I usually look around that room or
two - then I will fInd it. I expect these little thing - as you get older - like missing things.
I missed my Visa Card - when I came in from a party today. - however a search found it quickly.
