found a few schools that were closed down. Schools are run by local school districts governments. Also found some that some restrictions were trying to be implemented by schools but the states laws prevented them from do that.

I think if you search a little bit further, school shutdown or curtailed in 2023 you will find a few. Of the four I found they are all in the south Kentucky, Texas, Virginia, and Mississippi. The states may like to say they are not going to shut down, but if enough students get Covid, flu, or any other communicable diseases they are pretty much forced to shut.[/]

School boards are elected in the school districts and the school board is the governing board of the school district, accordance with state, federal and local laws.

Always a good idea to quarantine the non effected people. Kind of back wards to hundreds of years of quarantine the infected.

Yes,nothing new or covid specific there- if a school has an major outbreak of any serious communicable disease that school might temporarily close down.

Omicron is a variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Home-schooling is becoming increasingly popular in the US, there’s no nutty officials or especially nutty teachers involved. I could easily teach the lessons to my grandson in a few short hours and then we can practice baseball, wrestling, go on a hike or prepare him to change the brakes for his lady. Important things instead of nonsense. No lockdowns ever!

My nephew has home schooled all his children, my friend's daughter who has a one year old has taken her other four children out of mainstream and home schooling them. She was not happy with what they are being taught in the name of 'education'. So no lockdowns for them either.

There are advantages and disadvantages to home schooling.
Being taught at home may leave them out of touch with their peers; they may have fewer friends and miss out on the experience of interacting with people from other backgrounds and ethnicities.

The big advantage of home schooling is a flexible curriculum to suit the child’s learning style and more one to one study. Learning can be child led and more creative. Parents have control over educational philosophies, including those that are controversial. Home schooling cuts down on bullying.
Home schooling is fairly common where I live. I helped teach English Literature to a girl who was being home schooled because she was ill.
It is a lot of responsibility for a parent to take on but I would do it if I had my time again.

My point was that temporary s c hool closures because of an outbreak of an infectious disease is not a covid specific thing - meaning same happens if out break of any serious infection disease, not just Covid.

Pharmaceutical companies love it all. Lockdown$ will eventually lead to mental health issues and they know it. They’ll be happy to provide you with the solution as they see it, Prozac and etc etc etc.
