The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar
Available on Netflix to watch, a 37 minute short with an abundance of famous faces, done in a style of a quick moving stage play
I've never read the book, and only now know about this story through this production, i always prefer to read the book first, where possible, however, i will be seeking the book out to read
Typical of Roald Dahl, something completely different, this one more adult orientated, a great imagination
Well recommended
Not sure whether this post will create a conversation, or just be my opinion on what i have just watched
Please feel free to make any comment you so wish

Well, it turns out that Netflix (other platforms are available) have made a deal with the owners/copywrite holders of Roald Dahls written works, so it seems we will be seeing more productions of this kind
This week, we have another short story entitled 'The Ratcatcher', another book i have yet to read
Same actors, albeit few less for this story, same well known Director, Wes Anderson, who has already released a full length version of 'The Fantastic Mr Fox'
This weeks entry is only 17 minutes long, hopefully this is going to be a regular treat each week, as it is known that Roald Dahl did a few short stories
Happy days...

Yes, Tales of the Unexpected, another favourite of short stories with unexpected twists, certainly lived up to the Shows Title

As for The Ratcatcher, i won't give any spoilers, but i will say chocolate and liquorice  :S

It now appears that there are only four short stories being shown on Netflix for now, being released on consecutive days, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th September
The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar - 37 minutes
The Swan - 17 minutes
The Ratcatcher - 17 minutes, and finally
Poison - 17 minutes
Wonderful

I found them all good with varying messages to the reader/watcher
I won't give any spoilers about Poison, just in case there are others who have yet to watch it, all i can say is what an ungrateful ....
With The Swan, it was fairly obvious almost immediately what that was all about, again, without giving any spoilers, two wrongs don't make a right
It would be good to see various Directors produce their own take on any remaining stories written by Dahl
