Putting a photo in a post from another site

There are two ways of putting a photo in your post:
  1. From your computer by uploading it
  2. From another website or a web album like Flikr
Here we explain how to put a photo in a post from another website.
  1. Find the picture you want and get its location or url, it will look something like this:
  2. You can often find the address you want by right clicking on the image and choosing 'Copy image location' then paste it later
  3. Click the 'Image link' icon just underneath the sad and smile smileys above your message
  4. Paste the url/link of the photo in the URL box after deleting the http:// that is already there - Your link should have this anyway
  5. Type in a size in the left box alongside the URL or leave it blank to stay at the original size
  6. Position your cursor in your message at the point you want the photo to appear.
  7. Click the 'Insert' button alongside the URL
  8. Some code similar to this will appear in your message:
  9. Type some more of your message and maybe add more photos if you like
  10. You can 'Preview' your message along with the photo and edit it if you like
  11. Click the 'Submit' button under the message
  12. Your message and photo should then be posted and appear.
