I will get my flu and Covid shot sometime the end of Sept. Have gotten flu for 30 plus years and UpToDate on Covid. Never had either. I have friends that have gotten covid some with shot, some without. Generally, the without have gotten sicker.
At this point I don't care if someone one does or does not get the shot. Just have some common sense and tell others when you do get the virus, just like you would notify friends of any illness. If you get really sick and not gotten the shots then stay at home and stay hydrated, don't go out and infect others.
If I were 20 or 30 still, I wouldn't be to upset to get Covid, but me and my friends are way up on the old scale.

Thanks for the replies ... they are really helpful.

Do you think that I may have felt rough afdter because I had both jabs at the same time?

Is it better to leave a couple of weeks between them?

I do, as I think it’s better, and one of the reasons I do is because if I should suffer some sort of reaction it should be easier to determine which jab it was that caused it.

we all react differently, is the problem. Even if just having a covid jab, one may be no trouble but the next one might be..no way of knowing.

I seem to remember I have had flu and covid both at the same time, a while ago now, with no problems - no problems with any jabs at any time though - maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

Yes we all react differently, we all have our own unique immune system and antibodies.

Thankfully I have never had a bad reaction from any vaccine, but if I did I would want to know which vaccine caused it.

I had a bad reaction (vomitting) after the Astra Zenecca Covid jab, first and second, but knew I had to have them.
I don't want the flu jab and this Winter's Covid jab at the same time.
We have appoinment to have the flu jab on the 19th, I shall enquire then when the Covid jabs are out for the Winter.

I've never had a flu jab though am asked every year if I would like it. The same with Covid jab, never had even one and don't intend to. I had Covid a year ago and recovered in a few weeks.
