This is weird, but here is what seems to have happened: Dec15, 2021 minor surgery. Dec 16 major surgery + 3 days in ICU. Lots of antibiotics to prevent infection. That worked, but there was a side effect. Killed all the bacteria in my gut. What we eat does not feed us. The bacteria eat what we call food, and then bacteria excrete chemical that become what nourishes us. Older people have less effective, more fragile bacteria colonies. Drugs killed them. Replaced by bad digestive bacteria that didn't do the job. Treatment: lots “live culture” (that's critical) yogurt & nuts. No sugar. Weight loss hasn't yet stopped, but its slowing down and for the first time in nearly a year, I got a little hungry today.
