My husband foolishly tried to cut his own toe nails today and cut down too far resulting in a small cut and a sore toe.

‘ Freedom from’ without ‘freedom to’ is not freedom at all.

charge was £42...

Even if you have toe nails cut in hospital, you are charged........

So very similar to what I paid QM.
I never knew the NHS provided this service, though probably the wait would mean that your toenails would be six inches long!

I would have to have an anaesthetist on hand to knock me out before I could let anyone touch my feet, the thought of someone handling my feet makes my skin crawl, I hate feet I hate my own feet and everyone elses feet they are horrible things.
I have never seen a chiropodist or a podiatrist (are they the same thing?)

I once had an xray on my foot and a bone was cracked, the doc wanted to mess with my feet and I couldn't cope with that so just told the nurse thanks for your time I am off and I went home. It is healed now so no worries.

Yes podiatrist and chiropodist are the same thing.
Most have very sophisticated electronic equipment now, that thin, file, buff though they cut nails manually.
Yes it can be ticklish at times but not unpleasant, were I richer I’d go every month.

I know a few people who have a foot "phobia".

They don't like feet generally - other peoples feet or their own. A shame really they are the most used and abused parts of our body.

I think we should have a National Foot Day..

I had my first pedicure about month and half ago. I had been reluctant till talking to my friends about it. I LOVED it. Prob will make it a quarterly trip.

Yes once you’ve been you’re hooked! You can never cut your own nails as well as they do.
My previous chiropodist sadly went out of business due to the Covid lockdown, but my new one is in the back of the Shuropody chain of shoe shops and is even better.

available for YOU - for that month. - Nails & Corns seen too.- a good service.
