When I read through the article, the first thing that came to mind is if you remove the ages mentioned, the entire approach is like used to be called "going steady" in high school or junior high. In my opinion, appropriate for (approximately) 15-year-olds, but not for adults.

Just my two cents, If I'm in a committed relationship, I stick with one person. I don't care how others handle the relationship because it does not concern me. Don't get me wrong, I look, just like a museums, no touching.

To me, just by going out on a date does not put me in a committed relationship.
