On the west coast 85 percent of the forest land is either private or run by the federal govt. The states cannot legally manage those lands. Trump had cut back on funds every year. So have other presidents. There are not enough sweepers to clean the forest floors.
The US west in in a ten year drought time, its getting hotter longer. People want to move up into the foothills and then just sit back and expect the state to make it safe to live. Forest land fires going to happen more often and more fierce.
trumps an idiot BTW.

Indirectly he is, the federal govt runs millions of acres on fire now. Where was the funding for management the last three years. The things that happen and don't happen are on him. HEs the president. He certainly takes credit for some of the few things that hes done right.
Read John Boltons book. See what kind of man he is.

The effects of these fires are far reaching and many have been started deliberately.
I have a friend who lives in Seattle and has asthma and the smoke in the air has affected her badly at times.

It's like Florida, they are going to get hit by a Hurricane and California is going to burn and have mud slides. Same thing every year since I can remember.
