With the exception of the bullying storyline involving Liam Connor I am finding some of the present ‘Corrie’ storylines implausible, for example, the gambling storyline involving Ed Bailey. The workman he owes £500 to for completed work would not be doing nothing about it - he has explained that he has a family with Christmas presents to buy and needs the money. He would be hammering on Ed’s door and not going away.
And where is Aggie Bailey ? She would surely be coming home for Christmas ?

Me too. When is Ed Bailey going to get found out and confess that he has been helping himself to money from the business account ?
The Gemma and Chesney household so chaotic I can’t bear to watch it. I’m sure that in a real life situation Chesney would have banned Bernie’s herbal concoctions from his home where there were four toddlers running about the place. I find the relationship between Bernie and Dev unlikely too.
I stopped watching Corrie just before Gemma had the quads. I didn’t watch for nearly a year. I’m sorely tempted to take another break from viewing.

I'm finding all 3 main bbc and itv soaps a turn off at the moment .... the level of violence and nastiness has really been revved up lately .... I couldn't finish 'Stenders this week ... had to switch it off.

Are they gearing up for soap awards or something?

I only watch Coronation Street so I can't comment on the other soaps.

I record Corrie and fast-forward most of it these days.

All these main soaps copy eachother in storylines imo.
I actually watch Doctors on catch up, usually a different subject everyday with a continuing back story. Sometimes a storyline will be daft, but hardly any violence, but its obvious its a low budget soap.Has been some really good storylines though.
Just wish they would get rid of the doctor who was cilla in corrie, the way she twists her mouth to sound posh is so ridiculous its funny.
Shame its ending for good in 2024.

I occasionally watch Doctors. It’s a soap you can just ‘drop into’. Never violent. It is a shame it is going to disappear in the new year.

Coronation Street has become so boring lately that I have found myself nodding off. The whole Gemma, Bernie, Dev, Paul, Billy thing is awful.
The only one I really watch now is Emmerdale and that’s still good.

More ridiculous storylines tonight from the usual culprits. More smashing things up and throwing things around. Looks like Dev is getting sick of Bernie’s family. I hope Coronation Street improves in the new year.
