White-lie: a harmless or trivial lie, especially one told to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

Or any white lies you are used to saying or telling to anyone?

My coworker made some walnut chocolate chip cookies yesterday and passed them along
to a few of us, her eyes were happy and she so much wanted to hear "your cookies are so
good Linda!" *I honestly chipped a tooth when biting down, tooth was ready for a dental visit
anyway, but the cookies just tasted not up to par :( *I could not hurt her feelings, I said they
tasted great!

I told my mother she wasn't dying when doctors said she had 3 months to live because I didn't want her to be afraid. Because she didn't know her prognosis, she didn't expect to die and lived for another two years without fear.

Yesterday I told my wife that I'd found my 'lost' wallet in the car rather than where it actually was, on the roof of the car!
She thinks I'm quite loopy enough without me proving it tongue.png .

The same here, me and my sister refused to tell my mum that the docs thought her heart would give out within 6 months. We took her home and she lived for another 4 years'
I've told the odd white lie, usually to avoid hurting someone's feelings.

All my four grandkids think I've got a pet fly called Gerald that lives in a matchbox.

The eldest, who is seven, is now seriously questioning Gerald's existence but the youngest three live on in blissful ignorance

A perfect martini should be made by filling a glass with gin, then waving it in the general direction of Italy.

Never argue with an idiot......they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
