Had my pocket picked many years ago when in Hong Kong. Fortunately he got a small amount of money out my pocket, but not most of my money that was in another pocket at the time.

If you visit Italian tourist spots be careful.Eastern European gangs made a fortune when they came over to the UK working public transport especially the tube. The crime figures went through the roof until the police set up specialised squads to combat it.These people are highly skilled learn their trade at a young age many are women work in groups using distraction techniques. With open borders in the EU they go from country to country as they eventually become known by local law inforcement

My wife got pickpocketed in a Dublin pub twenty minutes in to a girlie weekend away with her friends.

When she realised she reported it to the bar staff who said it was rife in Dublin and that if she looked in the ladies toilets she would likely find the purse minus any money. Sure enough, it was there with even her bank card etc still in it. It seems they only wanted cash.

She reported it to the Garda who said they dealt with dozens of similar cases per day.

It's put me off going, to be honest.

A perfect martini should be made by filling a glass with gin, then waving it in the general direction of Italy.

Never argue with an idiot......they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
