I hate them with a passion. Outside I let them be. In the house, however, I smash them.

Nope. I'm not frightened of them and wouldn't kill one if I found it in the house.

I'd lift it and put it in one of my big cupboards.

Any in my house I name Boris - after the song by the Who although that particular Boris met a grisly end - and ensure that nothing happens to them.

I don't bother them in their homes and I expect them to stay out of mine.

I do wish I did not react so negatively to spiders, I would need some online therapy of sorts I think. Inside the house, I have such fear that I chose to kill them, as if I try to catch them to put outside, I fear they will jump on me and that is the absolute worst for me. I would have anxiety paramount.

If they are near me outdoors, I walk the other direction and let them be...

However frightened you may be of spiders, it's not advisable to kill them.
There is a saying...

" Those who wish to live and thrive, must let the spider be alive..."

Bruce man up ... Household spiders are an important part of nature's eco-system, but they also do handy jobs around the home like prey on bacteria-carrying insects including cockroaches, mosquitos, earwigs and moths.xx

When I find one in the bath I throw a towel over to give them an escape route .

So does my Dyson and it works for removing spiders from the top of walls.
I don't like them never have never will. I had snakes as pets I have had all sorts small and large I also kept Piranha Fish We once had a baby Orangutan for a week as my eldest daughter was working at a zoo and the mother of the little baby passed away and it needing feeding and nursing regular so my daughter volunteered to look after it 24/7 and the zoo gave authority for her to have it at home as well as work (the zoo vet only lived a mile away) if any problems.

Spiders Horses and Cats are just 3 animals I just cannot get on with Horses and Cats don't come in to my house so I am not having spiders in it either, my property my rules.

I would never kill a spider, or any other creature come to think of it, and always remove the large ones to the garden using the glass and card method.. I have a phobia about wasps but give them a fighting chance to exit my property and do all I can to let them fly off to live another day of their short lives.
