I understood that Astro lamps are Galaxy projection lamps and totally different from Lava lamps.

Thanks all for your reply's, I was on my way to Southampton and my wife said Lava lamp as well then added what do you wont one of them for ?
Now i don't know if to get one or not.

originally known by the name Astro Lava Lamp in the 60's..

Definitely agree on the LAVA LAMP ... I remember them from my very young married life in the early 1970's... they then went out of fashion but are now back with a vengeance. They could be very calming ...

If you prefer vintage, there are a few original Astro lava lamps for sale on ebay, which have all been restored....
'only' £119.
Not cheap, but all come in their original boxes as well.
