A Tipple is favourite alcoholic drink you might drink sparingly with say a dinner. I tipple at dinner.
Drinking while eating appartantly takes the strain off one's liver, a bit so I read. Goodo!

A Tippler is a slow n moderate drinker of tipples. Mea culpa.

Personally, I love a very cold dry white wine, with fish n salad, especially a reasonable Chardonnay which we have in abundance in my Australia. I best not name names but I have my favourites, especially when they're on special. There is huge variety of styles in Chardonnays, like beers, ... some are dreadful, some are divine. Try a decent Aussie wine. I like Reds too but they don't like me. I'm not adverse to a good bubbly tho.

What's your Tipple? G&T's like a mate of mine?

Funny word. I like Martinelli’s sparkling cider but it’s non-alcoholic. I hope it still qualifies.

I like a small glass of whiskey every couple of weeks or so. A bottle can last me around a year, but I do like it. My mother got me on to Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey recently which is a bit sweet on its own but a small amount of it in a coffee is fabulous.

It changes for me. I love a glass of really good Whiskey, needs to be an excellent single malt. None of the cheap blended type. My next favourite is a good dark rum with a drop of coke and finally on warm summer nights, nothing like a refreshing G&T. Hic!!!! Time to gesh anuvfer one.

I also love my non al ginger beers too WWoody. Aussie ones like Saxbys, Bundaberg, but my favourite is Bickford's Ginger beer cordial with Soda water. Good for one's health too. Cheers.

I hardly ever have a whisky nowadays but a fellow worker once gave me a rusty nail with just ice. It was divine. I grew up in my Dad's pub, The Old Pier Inn, just south of dreary Belfast, in Donaghadee by the sea. That 400+ yo pub is gone now, ...yuppy units. I Digress...

It's no shaming contest. It's an integral part of most cultures all over the globe throughout all known History.
We've just refined it, a lot.
