I would go further and say that any kind of battle should be avoided - i would always try to find an alternative solution.

Yes ma'am, and again, what are the consequences ??? Are they worth it ????/ What is the likely out come ???
Is there a better approach/ solution ???? So many factors to consider, is it best left alone ????

In places where the deck is stacked against you even you know your correct most times it is best to just not reply especially to those whom just look for any way to discredit anything other than their views and the self proclaimed experts on everything even though they are not even involved remotely.

Choose your battles wisely means to me...……..There could be trouble ahead,
Me I couldn't care less I refuse to be involved in silly battles or she said this he said that talk it's childish and unwanted drivel.

It also means don't get involved in anyone else's battles, especially other peoples domestics, asking for trouble that is.

Who needs the hassle of battles I would rather have a coffee and watch tv even BBC when they show the Dukes memorial!

Choose your battles wisely. ... Choose your battles means to be selective of the problems, arguments, and confrontations that you get involved in. Instead of fighting every problem, you save your time only for the things that matter. This means fighting the most important battles and letting go of the rest.

In my younger days, would always try and correct things if I was hearing something I knew was wrong, and it has backfired on me. These days there are people I know who talk utter rubbish, especially at public meetings. I put it down to them just wanting to hear the sound of their own voice. For the most part I ignore them and let them show themselves up for the idiots they are known by everyone to be.
