I too have enjoyed (too many) Thorntons chocs over the years .... but only the physical shops are shutting ... still buy on-line and in grocery stores.

I love Thornton's chocolates and have two boxes coming in my online delivery tomorrow as they can be bought in supermarkets. Unfortunately one of the 61 shops which is closing is in my small town.

I personally don’t like Thornton chocolate, but I really feel for the people who are going to be out of work, when Thornton shops close down,
Coronavirus Lockdown has closed many businesses.

Heard them announce that on the news last night. They are only closing their own shops as they do very little business compared to the 100 franchises that will still be selling their chocolates. For more information follow this link to Thorntons .

I found their chocolate very pricey and nothing special. I rarely visited except to buy their marzipan bars sometimes - again, over priced and very small ,so I won't miss them.

My local one used to sell bags of broken chocolate, chocolate eggs and bars which had been accidentally dropped or when they made a mistake putting on names etc.

I used to buy them and me and the wife would sit and demolish the lot. Problem is, I always found Thornton's a little rich and sickly if you ate too much (as we always did). :)

We have a Thornton's on our high street - never been inside, always very quiet when I passed by.
I always preferred other chocolate to Thorntons..
