When the day is done and the sandman is calling how long do you take to nod off and how do you sleep?

I take about 10 mins from head on pillow to flat out asleep I sleep heavy and the only time I usually wake is when I need that stupid 3am pee, Takes me at least 30 seconds to go back to sleep after.
I have lately (I blame lockdown) being going to bed later around 1am still sleep like a baby though.

Sleep has been a luxury these days. I work nights but used to manage good sleep during the day. I think the lockdown has messed with my already erratic sleep pattern as I have gone as long as 48 hours without sleep...then i crashed for the day. ugh!

A good night will be 4 or 5 hours sleep, a bad night will be literally no sleep at all. I have tried everything, sleeping pills, herbal remedies, hypnosis, various forms of therapy - nothing works.

Have you tried CBD oil ? ;). That was my latest effort to get some much needed sleep.

I’m exactly the same as you SP, although often, but not always, I’ll fall asleep pretty quickly, but then wake up a couple of hours later, and then it’s basically ‘cat-napping’ from then till I get fed up and finally get up, often very early ! Lately, I’ve been waking about 4 am, that’s about 4 hrs ‘sleep’ ...and then toss and turn till i get up around 6....if I’m lucky, I fall off again after 4, but its not a deep sleep.

I too have tried everything, although not hypnosis ....I’ve just learned to live with the situation. :S

I sleep as much in my computer chair as I do in bed. I must drop off in the chair if I'm going to have any hope of getting to sleep in bed.
