Mine are getting whatever is left when I’m gone, but I have not intentionally set aside anything for them.

There are a few family items that are specifically stated but money wise I am planning to live life as it comes, I will help them out with buying their first houses but as to inheritance they will get what is left when I go.

My ex father-in-law went without in order to leave an inheritance for his three daughters, six months after he died they had squandered the lot.

I shall ensure my animals are taken care of. As for the humans - they can stand on their own two feet, as I did.

No children myself, but I have nieces and nephews who will get what is left when I kick the bucket. Have mad a will outlining what I want to happen. In the meantime have given those old enough something to help them through college.

As the OP stated, I am not intentionally setting aside something, but my only child will get whatever I have accumulated and paid off.

Interesting as we have just re-made our wills as the U K ones are not valid in Norway, well not so much not valid as there would be too many complications with them, and everything must be in Norwegian , So new ones made , just waiting now for them to be recognised.
No children but anything left after the bank have taken what we will owe them will go to Jeans family. Now waiting for the Bill from the solicitors hmm !! .

Yeah, I am.
One thing I'm trying to do, not too successfully, is getting rid of stuff, that way they don't have a lot of work. When my Dad passed it took weeks to sort through stuff. I took a lot of his books which was kind of a mistake.
So, yeah, give them the money, stocks and bonds not the junk. At least ask them what they might like so you can save it or give it to them right then.
