Dave, can they actually enforce it, even if its council property, the tenant has rights and is also responsible for his own actions.? If it were me id tell them to keep their noses out of my business and stop wasting money.

How ridiculous, even if it is a communual area, are people that stupid that they cant walk over or past a mat without falling over it, and if they do who's fault is it but their own.

Next they will trip up a step and say that there cant be any more steps, the whole world has gone mad. People have to be held responsible for their own actions.

I can understand that they dont want people to just dump stuff in a communual area or keep large objects out there, as that could stop people being able to get out quickly incase of a fire. But a door mat, dont these people have any common sense?

What a total waste of taxpayers money.
