According to British Marriage Law:
When giving notice of marriage, proof of identity is required in the form of a passport or birth certificate. Those who have been previously married will be required to produce documentary evidence of the death of their former spouse or of the dissolution of the marriage, in the form of a certified copy of a death certificate or divorce decree.
I think that it’s probably to do with a husband and his wives that arrive and settle in Britain having married in a country where polygamy is legal, then the UK benefits system has to recognise his extra wives as dependents and pays them accordingly.
This is not just UK Law, it’s also European Law but some Muslim pressure groups are trying to overturn our Marriage Laws to permit polygamy.
If they succeed, which is a strong possibility, then surely the gates are open for anyone to do the same to claim extra benefits.
As it’s a fact that, statistically, Muslims tend to vote for Labour, even if they are called Labour, New Labour , New Improved Labour or I-can’t-believe-it’s-not-Labour, sooner or later some Labour MP with a dwindling majority will start to push for this nonsense!!
